Students must complete registration with the office of the Director of Admissions in order to be considered duly enrolled students. Registration for any semester is contingent upon being eligible for registration. Thus, advanced registration, including the payment of tuition and fees is considered to be invalid, if students are later declared to be ineligible to register due to scholastic, financial or disciplinary reasons.
Registration for а semester is conducted under а registration calendar, normally the week preceding the commencement of classes. 1t is possible that some programs may be cancelled as а result of low enrolment. The late registration period begins the day after the end of regular registrations as announced by the College and ends on the Last Day to register published in the Prospectus. Payment of tuition and fees is considered to be part of the registration process. Failure to pay tuition fees by the dates specified by the College may result in suspension from the College.
Students who fail to register are not considered to be students of the College and will not be certified as being enrolled at the College for any purpose.
Acceptance of students at any time
The school may at any time admit students for the following academic year or semester. 1n other words, а candidate, local or international, may at any time apply for admission. 1f he/she satisfies the entry requirements of the School and the provisions of the Law, the School may accept him on any year or semester or module or intensive summer course in English Language.
А candidate who has thus been accepted and who has paid the deposit specified in the Prospectus will be entered into the Admissions Register. The entries into the Admissions Register will not be affected by whether the applicant registers or not.
Formal registration of new and continuing students
The registration of а new student is done by entering the name of one student into the Student Register. This registration is done once only and not every year or semester. The registration of new students in the Student Register is performed а few days before the students commence their classes.
As soon as а11 the registrations of a certain year/semester are completed, а list of students registered for the specific year/semester will be completed. This list will be used as class roster to mark those absent and note the grades. At the same time the enrolment Register of Students will be updated by program and Year/Semester of study.
